1. About Us

These terms and conditions apply to all services and sales provided by Ness Top Shop, a device service and sales business registered in Scotland.

2. Device Services

  • All prices are quoted and agreed with the customer before any work begins. No work will proceed without your authorisation.
  • Quoted prices cover parts and labour for the agreed service only. If additional issues are found during assessment, we will contact you before proceeding.
  • We use quality components that meet or exceed original specifications. Third-party components may affect manufacturer warranties where applicable.
  • Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability and workload. We will keep you informed of any delays.
  • Devices left uncollected for more than 30 days after notification may be subject to a storage fee or disposed of responsibly.

3. 12-Month Warranty

All completed device services carry a 12-month warranty on parts and labour. This warranty covers defects in the components installed or the workmanship of the service performed. Terms and conditions apply where applicable.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage, liquid damage, or accidental damage occurring after collection
  • Faults unrelated to the service performed
  • Damage caused by unauthorised third-party intervention after our service

To make a warranty claim, bring your device in-store with your receipt or proof of service within the 12-month period.

4. Water Damage Assessment

Water-damaged devices are accepted for assessment. Due to the unpredictable nature of liquid damage, we cannot guarantee a successful outcome. Where assessment indicates limited recovery potential, a reduced charge may apply. This will always be communicated to you before any charge is made.

5. Device Sales

  • All devices listed for sale have been assessed and graded. Condition is described accurately in-store at the point of sale.
  • Devices sold by Ness Top Shop carry a 30-day return period. See our Returns Policy for full details.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale at our discretion.

5a. WYE Accessories

We are an authorised stockist of WYE accessories, including cases, screen protectors, cables, power banks, car holders, charging adapters, and audio accessories.

  • All WYE accessories sold in-store carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Terms and conditions apply where applicable.
  • Unopened accessories may be returned within 14 days with proof of purchase. Opened accessories can only be returned if faulty.
  • Warranty and returns for accessories are handled directly by Ness Top Shop in-store. Full details are in our Returns Policy.

6. Device Buying (We Buy Your Devices)

  • Offers to purchase your device are made following an in-store assessment and are subject to the condition of the device at that time.
  • You must be the lawful owner of the device or have authority to sell it. By accepting our offer, you confirm this.
  • We may request proof of identity and purchase in line with our legal obligations.
  • Once a sale is agreed and payment made, the transaction is final. We cannot reverse a completed purchase.

7. Collection & Delivery

  • Collection and delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Inverness town centre. Pricing is agreed before collection.
  • We take reasonable care when handling your device during transit. We recommend you back up your data before handover.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage or data loss not caused by our service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service or product purchased. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including data loss, loss of use, or loss of earnings. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
